If you're one of the 300 plus students who have come in to take our paperweight class this year, Flo is NOW offering our PART 2 to this beginners series. Students will build from their first experience with molten glass and finally get down to the business of blowing glass. In teams, students create their own ornament from start to finish. With completion of this class students can continue on to our intermediate Bubble and Beyond course which grooms beginner students into first time renters.

Classes for this promotion start in September and will be running Tuesday/Thursday evenings and Sunday days.  We will continue to book more classes into October as students enquire.

Flo's multifaceted co-owner Melody Jewitt, will be playing this weekend at Michel Ange, just down the street from the studio.  She and her playboy bandmates - Niels Jewitt, Nathaniel Jewitt, David Jewitt and Dylan Rollo will be bringing down the house with an assortment of folk and blues tunes, both obscure gems and classic covers.  Don't miss out on a great evening of entertainment.

CALL FOR female ARTISTS

Les mademoiselles of all visual arts expression, submit your applications TODAY to participate in a week-long (MARCH 3rd-10th) Celebrate Her fundraising event.

In the spirit of International Womans Day, Flo will be opening our gallery, along with a number of other local venues, to showcase local art and help raise funds towards The Sexual Assault Support Centre (SASC).

The event will be featuring a variety of fine-arts presentations, including music, theatre, dance, visual art and spoken word poetry. A photo showcase honoring amazing woman from the community will also be on display at the central venue – Alpha Soul Café, 1015 Wellington St. Ottawa.
